As a responsible manager, one mindful of your duty of care to your staff, you’ll no doubt already have in place response plans to deal with any safety or security incidents that might reasonably arise.
However: how do you know that your plans will actually work if you need them?
The problem with planning is that you’re trying to predict, and in some detail, what is likely to happen in a real-life event. Yet the real world is a notoriously unpredictable place, full of unknowns and the unexpected. So, it seems you are faced with an insurmountable challenge. You have to plan, but designing an effective plan appears an impossibility! What can you do?
Well, maybe Andy can help.
He has spent many years in safety, incident and risk management including experience in the manned guarding sector as a manager; security NVQ assessor; and SIA instructor.
He has written a 6-page guide entitled “Incident Response Planning: Key Issues To Consider” and this guide is available for free . Simply drop Andy an email on info@managementandsafety.co.uk and he’ll send you a copy. There’s no obligation to buy anything :0)
In addition, for a fixed charge (so no hidden costs) he can review your current plan; analyse it in detail; and then provide a written report on his findings. This report will detail any weaknesses he has identified, and will offer advice as appropriate on how the plan might be improved.
The end result won’t be a perfect plan (because achieving perfection is simply impossible) but it’ll be more effective.
And, of course, if you’d like Andy to work with you on a safety management consultancy basis (maybe while you either design or revise your crisis plans) then he’d be happy to have that discussion.
For an informal discussion about the various ways in which Andy might be able to help you, or to order your free copy of the guide, please contact him either via email on info@managementandsafety.co.uk, or call him directly on 07771 538 985.
